Thanksgiving Week

Well Sam had the whole week off for Thanksgiving. On Monday the 23rd we took pictures at the picture people for Kaylee's 2 year photos. Afterwards we went to Manteca to visit the Johnson's and The Banks. We wanted to see everybody but there just wasn't enough time so we decided next visit will be on a Sunday so we can see everybody. The funny thing is that we saw the Drinkwater's Van on the way upto Manteca. Whoever was driving just zoom passed by and then was gone. We had a great time up there in Manteca I sure do miss everybody.

On Tuesday we caught the Early Bird Special for New Moon which was awesome a totally loved it and it was very impressive especially with the wolves. That Evening Mark, Nona, Tiana, Corinne, and Ronan came.

Wednesday was a relaxing day and Johnny came from Utah

Thursday- Thanksgiving Jarrel, Lynn, Summer came in the morning to help prepare the food. Then the boys left to play football, basketball, and Volleyball. We ate and slept.

Friday- Black Friday Sam went and got some tools and an over the range microwave for our new house. It was normally 250 and he got it for 78.

Saturday- 430 am Sam started throwing up and diarrhea. We later found out That day Johnny had the same stomach flu and so did lynn. that evening I got it and Jarrel got it, Mom and Dad got it.

Sunday- Kaylee started throwing up and when she was done she say that's it and go back to sleep.
Sam is still kinda sick it just wipes everything out of you.

Long Time

Adam Ronan Colvin 3rd child of Mark and Nona Colvin. 1st grandson of Mike and Silvia Colvin.

It has been a really long time since I have written on here. A lot has happened since I last posted I will try to remember all the important stuff.

* Well since the last time Sam was looking for a job and he had a couple of interviews in places that almost look like ghost towns but they were just really small. In August he had an phone interview with a schhool on an indian reservation in Utah. The next day he was offered the full time job available in Sacramento. It was a day before school started.

* On September 19th 2009 Adam Ronan Colvin was born to Mark and Nona Colvin. This is the first grandson and the first boy born which was a contest of all the girls he is also the first great grand child with the Colvin last name. We all call him Ronan.

* Also in September we got preapproved for a loan and started looking for houses. It was very stressful.

* In October 30th Kaylee turned 2 years old but she got really sick the same with Halloween we went up to Sam's parents but Kaylee wasn't feeling good. Kaylee was a pirate princess for halloween.

* Towards the end of October we got a offer accepted on a house but again we were disappointed because they went back to the original buyer. so a couple of days later we decided to go look at houses And saw like 15 houses and we put offers on all of them included two that I stuck in. They were just posted and had no pictures but I didn't think we had anything to lose. They denied the 15 houses and accepted the last two. When we saw the house we are in Escrow with we just fell in love with it. it felt like a home. The other one was bigger but it wasn't that great. So by Dec 8 we should be new homeowners.

That is all that has been happening with us or at least the big stuff. I will post pictures soon.

7 lbs .3 ounces 20 ins long

When I saw here she was very alert just looking around and has the cutest cry. She has Dark hair and I think Blue eyes.

Camp Richardson South Lake Tahoe

We went up to South Lake Tahoe with Sam's Family. It was a lot cooler than Warm Springs. We went to the Beach and went on a bike ride. We even saw a bear that decided to visit our camp below are pictures in no peculiar order.

This is the end of our trip Kaylee was exhausted. Her Grandpa Lupe got her that hat.

We decided to go on a bike ride with Tina, Luke and Zachary. For those of you who know me well I haven't ridden a bike since I was 9 and I just kinda forgot and I don't like falling over. Sam and I were on a tandem bike and Kaylee was in a cart that Tina pulled it was really fun

Well our first night there we were playing Settlers of Catan Sam heard some feet scuffling and There was a bear digging thru the garbage we forgot to throw away. We stood on the table and started to bang some pots but it didn't scare him. So Sam turned on his car and that scared him. The rest of the night we heard people screaming and the wolves howling. It was very adventurous.

Colvin Family Reunion 2009 Warm Springs

We recently went to a Family Reunion near Las Vegas Nevada at Warm Springs it was good to see all my relatives and missed the ones that couldn't come. There were lots of adorable little babies and we just had a fun time.

We left on the 17th to Mark & Nona's. Then on thursday we left for Vegas to stay at my cousin Shorty's house. The picture below is Kaylee and my cousin's youngest talking to eachother.

Moving Day

On May 30 we moved back to my parents. We would like to thank all our friends in Manteca for helping us move out. We sure do miss you all and thank you for all of your support in our time of need.

May 16th Santa Cruz Beach Trip

We decided out of the blue to go to a beach. I think it was really hot. We went to Natural Bridges Beach. Kaylee had alot of fun she would run up to waves and Sam will pull her up. I wasn't planning on getting wet but I lost my balance in the water and fell in but all was fun.

I know I haven't been posting but I have been busy and alot has been happening in my life. This post is just saying Hi the rest will be little post of my adventures from May 16th and up. We moved to Sacramento, We went to Santa Cruz Beach, Went to my first prenatal appt and found out that I wasn't pregnant anymore, We went to family reunions, and had a good time. As for the job hunt Sam last interview was in South Lake Tahoe on May 22 but that day ended up bad. About a week later Sam found out he didn't get the job and he has recieved many letters saying that they decided not to have a music program or they chose someone else. But we are still applying and hoping.

Today's Date is May 15th, 2009

Well a lot has happened since I last posted. I probably already told you in person or not at all. Well where to I begin. I guess from the beginning! Well Sam had an interview with the school district in Lone Pine , CA It is pretty country to drive up there but the town isn't much. They haven't call him yet maybe they will maybe they won't. Kaylee had her 18 month check up and that went well. She is growing very nicely. Sam Graduated from Project Pipeline ( a teacher intern credentialing program) It was very nice and Sam's parent's got to come afterwards they took us to lunch at Mel's Diner. My brother Mark also graduated on the 9th from University of Phoenix in Reno. So my parents were up there but My brother and his family came down with my Parents for Mother's Day. My mom almost had all of her kiddos there and there families. On May 10th was Mother's Day. Sam help make breakfast. Then my mom gave me her corsage. My mom also spoke in church on Sunday it was a really nice talk. The next week Sam got a call for two job interviews Visalia May 14th and South Lake Tahoe May 22. ( Sam really wants South Lake Tahoe). Yesterday, we all went down to Visalia for Sam's job interview. It was lame according to his terms. What they didn't tell him till he got there is that the job is only temporary and that it is a traveling team of music teachers for class room music no BAND and no instrumental. Whatever curriculum was developed for class room music. The ladies doing it before both went Part-Time so if they decide to go full time whenever they want to Sam will be out of a job. So I hope they don't hire him and South Lake Tahoe Does because that is what he wants. Okay about me I am about 9 weeks pregnant if you haven' t seen my pregnancy ticker . I started to feel really sick morning to night at about 5 1/2 weeks. It was worse at night when I wanted to go to bed and when I woke up to go to the bathroom early in the morning. I have had really bad back pains and by sciatic nerve hurt me. Crackers didn't work with me and The foods I ate with Kaylee that calm my tummy doesn't work with this one. But at the end of 8 weeks I started to feel better not sick at nite anymore. But I am really tired lately and once I get food in my belly I feel better. So the trick I figure with this one is to keep my tummy full of food, take naps and sleep early and get plenty of rest and not smell anything bad (Smells are no fun). Well see if this good luck streak keeps happening. This morning I went to the Early Pregnancy class. They had me fill out the paperwork and get my bloodwork done I was there about an 1 &1/2. We are moving and I started packing it is hard to keep Kaylee out of the boxes but it is fun to see what hasn't been pulled out for a while. If anybody has boxes I could use them.

Randomness

Kaylee always sees us on the computer and she thinks we are play so after we were done using it and turned it off She got up here turned on the computer and started typing. Our future office receptionist

18 month check up

Both of our cameras aren't working so this post isn't going to have any pictures.

Kaylee had her 18 month well check up yesterday. She is growing up so fast.

She is 26 lbs

She is 2ft 11 inches in height

The doctor said she is doing well and everything will come no worries.

UPDATE

Sam is still lookking for a job but a couple weeks ago he had a job interview for Lone Pine, CA. The best way to know where this place is Is to look on a map. It is right by the eastern sierras and death Valley. So it is deserty on one side and the mountains are there on the other. Lone Pine is a very small town with nothing much around. He was the third out of 5 or 6 other music teachers applying for the Job. They said they would call him if he did or didn't get the job.

He was also invited to an open house for a Sacramento school. they said they would call him after testing.

Those are the only niblets we have had.

Other Good News

Sam is graduating this Saturday for his teacher credentialing intern program.

Right now we are just in the process of packing and throwing out stuff we really don't need.

We are moving on Saturday May 30th at about 8 am

We are going to need all the help we can get. So if you can help please come.

Fun in the Sun

The weather has been so nice lately and since the pool was full we decided to take advantage of the sprinklers and our little backyard. Kaylee had so much fun yesterday. Below are some pics of Kaylee having fun in the water.

Easter Celebrations

So, I haven't been blogging lately but I try. I have been on Facebook and it has been Fun. I hope you all had a Great Easter Weekend. Below are some pictures of our weekend.
Now for the job update and life in general. As many of you know we are looking moving at the end of May and Sam is looking for a new music teaching job for the next school year. So far he has applied for 21 jobs 4 of the places have notified him and said that they are not picking his application He has had 2 phone interviews over the phone 1 with ivy academia in like the Woodland Hills area (L.A. county). He has also had a phone interview with a school district in Lone Pine, CA. He also has one with Sacramento City Unified School District-St. Hope Charter Schools. Kaylee is growing bigger everyday and Last wednesday Sam got his Wisdom Teeth pulled out. I am doing fine just living life day by day and hoping that Sam will get a job soon so I know where we will be at but I guess I have to be patient the Lord will bless us.

Our Apartment complex had an easter bunny who made balloons and gave away prizes. She had some balloon games Adults vs. Kids. Sam had to sword fight a kid and it was so funny I wish I had my camera. I was asked to play a game where I had to pop a balloon with my knees . I couldn't do it. Then we were allowed to sit on it and we couldn't do it either so I popped my balloon with my nails. The picture is of Kaylee trying to figure out the bunny.

In the Afternoon We went to Sam's Aunt and Uncles in Pleasanton for an easter dinner. All of Sam's Family was there except for a few. the picture is of Kaylee in her new outfit that her Dad got her. She is wearing one of the balloons from the previous party.

Early Birthday Weekend

Hi This weekend Sam had a Job Fair in Sacramento. We also went up to his Parent's house and celebrated his Birthday. We had fun and Kaylee learn how to go up and down the stairs it is kinda cute watching her turn around and going down on her tummy. but any ways for Sam's birthday gift he got an awesome iPod nano yeah
